General Information

The Maryland Twisters Cheer Booster Club (MTCBC) is a non‐profit corporation formed for the specific purpose of providing fundraising opportunities to offset costs associated with the sport of All Star Cheerleading.

The MANDATORY Annual Membership Fee is $35 per family. The fee will be collected the second week of practice. Payment is accepted via cash, credit card, check, or PayPal. Checks should be made payable to Maryland Twisters Cheer Booster Club, Inc. Payment via PayPal is strongly encouraged; those payments can be sent to or use our PayPal Link – here.

Please include your athletes name and location (Sterling or Hanover) in the details/comments section of the payment.

Active membership in the Booster Club entitles each member to:

  • Participate in every fundraising event held by the MTCBC. Fundraising events will vary from season to season. Many of the families that participated in fundraising events offset a significant portion of their tuition, fees and travel. Some of the fundraising activities being considered for the upcoming season are:

o Double Goods o Various Raffles o Yankee Candles o Team Restaurant Nights o Halloween Dance o All About the Kids- NOT AFFILIATED WITH MTCBC (working events at local sporting and entertainment venues) o Bingo Night o Candy Bar sales o Holiday Raffles

Participating in the various fundraising opportunities may provide you up to 100% of the net profit from a specific event. The funds that you earn will be deposited directly into your Twisters cheer account. Funds earned are deposited once a month at the end of the month.

The MTCBC often makes donations to MD Twisters to help offset improvement costs and provide other gym items such as water fountains, lockers, fans, and a state of the art sound system. In addition, the MTCBC awards two college scholarships annually to graduating seniors that will be attending college and who have demonstrative leadership and community service involvement.

Lastly, every athlete at MDT is required to participate in our Annual Special Needs Fundraiser as outlined in the MDT Handbook. The registration fee is a requirement and helps fund all cheer‐related expenses for our two special needs teams.
