joining the Maryland Twisters Staff for the
Cassie is currently a Super Squads coach as well as a USAG gymnastics coach at Silver Stars Gymnastics! She cheered for World Cup Allstars and was a D1 cheerleader at Mount St. Mary’s University in Maryland. When Cassie is not cheering or coaching you’ll find her always at the beach throwing up stunts with friends!
This season Cassie will be coaching Sidewinders, Tumbling Classes, and Flyer Classes.
Anna is blessed to be an alumni of F5 at MDT for the 2010 and 2011 World Championship teams. She then went on to cheer, on scholarship, for the competitive team at the University of Maryland. Anna graduated with a degree in Criminology. She returned to MDT after college and was blessed to help coach the 2016 F5 World Champion team. She moved to FL that next year and worked with some junior teams at Brandon All-Stars this last season. Anna is returning to the MD area and MDT, she’s so excited to be back with this crew! Anna loves to work out and do anything outdoors, and her puppy Stevie is her partner in crime for sure!
This season Anna will be coaching Cold Front, Thunder, Sky, and Smoke.
Andi is originally from Fredericksburg, Virginia. She has a bachelor’s degree in English, and a master’s degree in Secondary English Education from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.
Prior to working for the Maryland Twisters, Andi obtained her Virginia Teaching Licensure after she completed student teaching at Hanover High School in Mechanicsville, then went on to serve for 27 months as a High School English Teacher and Teacher Trainer in Indonesia for the United States Peace Corps.
Andi has a passion for working inside and outside of the classroom to promote growth and development of her students. She began coaching cheerleading teams after she graduated high school in 2007, and continued to coach for the next 7 years until 2015. During that time Andi coached a variety of High School teams ranging from freshman to Varsity level, and worked for the Universal Cheerleading Association as an Instructor for the Virginia South East staff, where she worked with children and teenagers of all ages in all-star gyms, as well as public schools.
This season Andi will be coaching haze and Forecast.
Timia is the older sister of “AJ Singleton” but she definitely held herself up on her own also in the cheer World! Timia came to Twisters in the 2006-2007 season as a level 3 athlete, but with hard work and determination, moved to level 4 & then on to the Jr 5 team, Supa-Dupa Cells where they won Junior Worlds!! Her favorite part during this time was having the opportunity to work with her loves on Eye of the Storm, they are & will forever be special in her heart. In 2010 Timia earned her spot onto her dream team “F5” where they won Worlds in 2011! She continued on F5 until she graduated and proudly became a Twister Alumni in 2014. Timia continued to cheer on the side lines at football games and compete throughout college and will soon graduate from MSU with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. Timia looks forward to working with the new generation of Allstar cheerleaders at Twisters.
This season Timia will be coaching Breeze and Sirens.
Jada started at Twisters in 2008 as a level 1 athlete on Cyclones. Mrs Shelly was her coach. By 2012 she had earned a spot on Velocity (restricted 5) & Weathergirls (half year team) to compete at her first Worlds. In 2013, she was on Reign, and in 2014, F5 and earned a Bronze medal at Worlds. During her time as a level 5 athlete, Jada also coached a rec cheer team and cheered for Glen Burnie High School. She went on to cheer at Stevenson University and competed in NCA collegiate Nationals her Sophomore and Junior year. She graduated with her Bachelors of Nursing in 2017 and is currently an ICU nurse at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore. She was an assistant coach for Stevenson University for the 2017-2018 season. Jada is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach through the American Council on Exercise.
This season Jada will be coaching Flurries and helping with Tumbling Classes.
Amanda Stone is 17 years old and will be a senior at Mount Hebron High School. She was an athlete at the Maryland Twisters for 5 years and a member of F5 2016. This season will be Amanda’s first year coaching and 3rd year as a helper for Eye of the Storm. She is excited for what this season has in store and can’t wait to work with the athletes!
This season Amanda will be coaching Breeze.
